This is a facsimile reproduction of the first major catalogue of secondhand railway books, showing that many works published in the first generation of the railway age were already scarce collector's pieces by the end of the century. The catalogue itemises nearly 500 items, many of them in great detail, and extends to 128 pages. Originally sold at is a copy, it was compiled by Samuel Cotterell, who later ran an antiquarian book business under his own name.
