Through the Maine Railroad Time Line, the last section in this book, rail history has been brought up to date. The focus of this book is on main line and connecting shortline rail service. The ocean and lake steamers, buses, hotels and airlines owned by the railroads plus street railways, industrial and logging lines are of too broad a scope to be included in this effort.
