The Bernina Express takes you from the vineyards of the Rhine Valley near Chur into the Engadine. The journey continues to Ospizio Bernina at an altitude of 2256 m passing glaciers and lakes and crossing rushing and roaring torrents. Now the train must overcome an altitude of almost two thousand meters. Down through the charming Puschlav to the vineyards near Tirano where the famous -Veltliner" matures on terraces in the glowing sun.
