Two hundred illustrations are used in this book, covering all the major types and classes of steam locomotives in use by Baltimore & Ohio during the last three decades of steam operations, 1928-1958. Many excellent portrait views give good details on the locomotives, action photos add flavor and spice to the story. Intended as a photo album, the text consists of brief introductions for each wheel arrangement. Reproductions of official B&O Mechanical Department diagrams add details. Many never-before seen photos are included.
All pictures are of the actual item. There may be reflection from the lights in some photos. We try to take photos of any damage.
