All the illustrations are eminently suitable for coloring. If you want to retain all the printed lines, it is best to use transparent washes, felt-tip pens or colored pencils. Though the drawings abound in interesting details, it is not necessary to color each small area separately. Large sections of these engines and cars were uniform in color.
