WEDNESDAY MORNING SESSION
June 4, 1952
The Opening Session was called to order at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 1952, by president F. L. Houx, superintendent, Chicago & North Western Railway, Boone, Iowa.
PRESIDENT HOUX: It is my duty, honor and pleasure as President of our Association to call this 56th Annual Convention of the American Association of Railroad Superintendents to order for all business which should come before it. It has been said when any groups are gathered together for good purposes that before commencing, they should invoke the Divine Blessing of the Supreme Being. If you will kindly rise, I will ask Reverend H. Theodore Ries, Rector of St. Ann's Episcopal Church, to invoke the Divine Blessing on this meeting.
