Introduction
I have a lively imagination. An ability to design things in my head was developed while studying engineering at City University and then during my career with the Central Electricity Generating Board. I could even play chess in my mind, but it was a love of model railways which first
stimulated this capability. From my earliest set of Hornby
clockwork tin-plate, through the years of Hornby Dublo, Peco Wonderful Wagons, fine-scale EM gauge and finally into American N gauge and my childrens' Lego trains, I have enjoyed designing and improving layouts - first in my head, then on paper and now on computer.
