PREFACE
This tabulation was originally issued by the Institute in April, 1162, in cooperation with the American Transit Association's Advisory Committee on Rail Cars. This revised edition contains certain changes and corrections in order to provide as accurate a reference work as possible oh post-war rapid transit cars purchased between 1950 through 1957. A similar tabulation on rapid transit cars purchased between 1958 through 1962 is also- available. Cars of the New York City Transit Authority have not been included in either of these two reports as the Authority has published a separate tabulation of its own.
All pictures are of the actual item. There may be reflection from the lights in some photos. We try to take photos of any damage.
