Norfolk and Western Magazine is published every six weeks at Roanoke Va. About the cover, NW Photographer Aubrey Overstreet, in Chicago on another picture assignment, shot our cover photo in our Calumet Yard there. Rows of John Deere harvesting machinery, fresh from the factory in green and yellow, caught his eye. This was one of several photos he took, cropped and enlarged. Shipments of farm machinery and parts during the first half of this year rose 26 percent over the same period of 1972. The high level of these shipments has held up through the third quarter.
