Nickel Plate Road Magazine 2000 Winter Breaking New Ground
Published Quarterly. FRONT: Only at Steamtown, and only today, could this gathering occur. Nickel Plate class P 44 (later 304), GP9 514 and S-2 759 are posed for NKPHTS members at the annual convention on Saturday, October 2. No two of this trio were in service at the same time, but together they represent a capsule history of NKP motive power -- the pre-Bernet, diesel and Super Power eras. Photo: Pete Shepherd.
