DUST JACKET INTRODUCTION
More Odd Corners of the GWR is a follow-up to the successful Odd Corners of the GWR (Sutton Publishing, 1999). The photographs shed light on signal-boxes, coaches, locomotives and staff at work, while the text details such matters as slip coach working, the design and style of cast-iron nameplates, and engineering principles from the CCE department.
Like its predecessor, Kevin Robertson's new book will make entertaining and informative reading for the general enthusiast and for modellers, preservationists and historians who wish to view some lesser-known scenes, locations and artefacts from the decades during which the GWR, and its successor the Western Region, ran a principally steam railway.
