A welcome?.. .
TO a large number of model railway enthusiasts Easter is merely that holiday which falls immediately before the opening of the Model Railway Club Exhibition at Central Hall, Westminster. From the Tuesday until the Saturday the Central Hall becomes a magnet drawing to itself the young and old alike who find in this great hobby of ours freedom from the everyday cares and a chance to indulge in something educational and all-absorbing. In wishing the Exhibition success surpassing the many successful shows of the past we also invite our many friends to come and see us at Stand 34 in the Lower Hall.

On the left of this column is an invitation to send contributions for possible publication in this journal. Occasionally we receive a letter from a reader informing us of a model he has made. Upon being invited to write an article the reader immediately withdraws into his shell with the excuse that he cannot compose an article. Very well, give us the information and we'll do the composing for you. How about it? You, yes YOU, probably have an idea or two which other readers would like to hear about. Tell us and we can pass it on and, by the way, you'll get paid for your trouble. What we want are constructional items, snippets of information that show just how to do this or that. If possible a drawing should be included (dimensioned please) (our artist will knock it into shape) and, when possible, a photograph or two. Of course articles giving details of any aspect of model railway running are acceptable but the " How I did it" is what we really like to have.
All pictures are of the actual item. If this is a railroad item, this material is obsolete and no longer in use by the railroad. Please email with questions.
