OFF THE TRAIN WIRE
ON THE COVER . . . James Findley's model of the brick depot at Spreckels, Calif., looks simple enough - but it's a real dilly of a project for the scratch-builder. Not hard, just lots of interesting things to do. Jim had so many techniques to detail that this feature begins this month on page 52 but will be carried to completion in the following issue. Jim made the model in the cover photo for John Allen, and John took the photo. Oh, yes, it's in HO scale, but can be built to any other with the help of Jim's descriptions.
