During March 2007 Hunslet Engine completed an order for a 50 tonne coke ovens locomotive for export to South Korea - HE 9462. The locomotive was built at Barton-under-Needwood, Staffordshire in conjunction with John M. Henderson of Arbroath and was fully automatic. The locomotive was fitted with a pair of 105kW traction motors and was for use at the new coke plant at POSCO Steelworks in Pohang. Parts for two other locomotives that were to be built in South Korea were included in the order. The photograph shows the locomotive completely assembled before delivery, but it was disassembled before being sent for export. (Hunslet Engine Company)
