As the Class 1 railroads began to offer less variety of motive power due to the mergers of the 60's, 70's, and 80's, railfans began to take an interest in shortlines and industrial operations. A few years ago, Morning Sun Books published Steel Mill Railroads in Color by this author, which, as of this writing, has expanded to four volumes. Following that series' noted success, I was able to author three volumes of Railroad Critters in Color, which featured non-railroad (small industrial) type locomotives. Now, armed with slides covering industrial railroads operating standard railroad type locomotives, we're pleased to bring you the second volume of Industrial Railroading in Color. We'll show you rare, inside industry views of standard, railroad-size locomotives.
