About the Book
In compiling this brief history of trolley car operation in Utica, New York, many items have been deliberately omittedand others undoubtedly overlooked. There are literally thousands of anecdotes and human interest stories that should be included if the history of trolley transportation is to be given in its entirety.
A generation has grown to age since the last electric trolley ran on the streets of Utica. This booklet was compiled partly as a source of information for them (and to satisfy their curiosity) but we must admit frankly it was more so a nostalgic sentimentality fora day and age when jet speed wasn't as important as it is today.
All pictures are of the actual item. There may be reflection from the lights in some photos. We try to take photos of any damage. If this is a railroad item, this material is obsolete and no longer in use by the railroad. Please email with questions. Publishers of Train Shed Cyclopedias and Stephans Railroad Directories.
