After a fabulous career in vaudeville and musical comedy, W. C. Fields devoted the last two decades of his life to the making of motion pictures. This book is a comprehensive record of those films (as well as those made before he abandoned his stage career), complete with cast-lists, credits, synopses, reviews, and hundreds of photographs.
Of special interest are two articles on comedy by Fields himself and interesting studies of the man and his methods by Otis Ferguson and Heywood Broun.
