The purpose of this book is to try to survey - in photographs and captions - the major events on the Danish railway scene during the 1960's. Never before have so many important changes in the structure of the railways been brought about in so short a period as during the past ten years. The large scale abandoning of lines, the closing down of stations, new equipment, new station buildings, new ferries and bridges, all this is typical of the 7960's.
It may often be difficult to grasp this development, but with this publication I hope to give a small contribution to this problem. Thanks are due to Frank Stenvall, Malmo, whose books have been taken as a pattern, and who has undertaken the publication.
