Crosswind Flying's first and second edition has sold in 23 countries and all across the USA. Crosswind Flying has been recommended reading by AMA's former President Don Lowe, Tony Stillman, former President of the NSRCA and AMA VP, and numerous Vice presidents of the NSRCA (National Society of Radio Controlled Aerobatics).
Crosswind Flying was written to help sport and competition pilots learn heading and correction techniques used by competitors to safely and precisely fly their planes in crosswinds. Special emphasis is placed on rudder use. Specific control inputs are discussed along with CAD illustrations to enhance the concepts presented.
Our third edition has been updated in both content and illustrations and includes all the necessary information needed to competently fly an RC airplane in a variety of competition conditions and adverse wind conditions. Especially helpful for skill building, we are sure that if you practice the concepts described in this book you will become a more competent pilot able to fly more safely in challenging wind conditions.
