This chapter picks up late in 1947 and ends with the final abandonment of streetcars in 1951. But there was lots of action on rails beneath Cincinnati's double overhead wire before the end and rail fan cameras recorded much of it. They have been generous in sharing their pictures.

One of the most exciting events in the street railway history of 1947 had been the arrival of twenty-five new streamlined streetcars with deep slanted windshields and standee windows. The "high 1100s" were built by St. Louis Car Company and were painted bright yellow with green stripes and gray roof.

All pictures are of the actual item. There may be reflection from the lights in some photos. We try to take photos of any damage.
