With publication of Volume Three, Santa Fe System Standards, Kachina Press is well-launched with its Chief Way Series multi-volume treatment of the Santa Fe Railway Company. The focus of Volume Three is roundhouses and ancillary structures - fuel and water facilities, turntables, shop-area buildings and related standards. In addition, subject areas begun in the previously-published two standards volumes are here expanded in response to reader suggestions and data availability. At this point, a fourth volume of Santa Fe System Standards is contemplated. In the meantime other volumes are in preparation that deal with rolling stock, motive power and additional structures. These volumes - similar to our initial volume of The Chief Way Series, The Doodlebugs - will become available as the support of our readership allows.
