This book deals with the history and operation of steam powered cranes used for clearing wrecks and other purposes on the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway. It includes mechanical and roster data as well as operational information. It is arranged by the capacity of the cranes which are illustrated with numerous photos, drawings, and tables. The period covered ranges from the 1880s to the 1960s.
