Va., on the New River Subdivision through Quinnimont, Prince, Thurmond, Sewell, and the New River Gorge. The second part of the book follows a trip from Hinton over the Alleghany Subdivision through Alderson, White Sulphur Springs, and Alleghany. Engines and crews change at Hinton, and pushers cut off at Alleghany just as in actual operation.
