The photos, maps and drawings are arranged in geographical order from east-to-west and cover operations on the C&O from World War II up to the early 1960s.Much of C&O's wealth came from hauling West Virginia Coal. C&O's operations honeycombed the southern West Virginia coal fields with scores of branch lines.
