Welcome to Canadian Pacific in Color Volume I: Eastern Lines. The two books in this series are intended to illustrate Canadian Pacific's railway operations in the steam to diesel transition years from 1949 through 1968 when its diesels were newly delivered in the classic tuscan red and grey paint scheme. This volume depicts the CPR from Halifax, Nova Scotia, westwards to Fort William, Ontario, a distance of 1,660 route miles collectively known prior to 1960 as the Eastern Lines.
