The Buffalo Rochester & Pittsburgh Railway was regarded as a highly progressive railroad in its day. It took an innovative stance on the industry and had plenty of capital to reinforce that view. While the railroad's homegrown traffic kept it afloat for years, many other external elements in its geographic region helped to create the path the BR&P traveled through its history. Alongside many of the junctions and terminals of the for-1 mer BR&P, we'll explore a sampling of its partners and neighboring connections in this volume. These connections include railroads of varying gauges and even maritime partners, with an overarching theme of their relationship with the former BR&P system over time.
