The Buffalo Rochester & Pittsburgh Railway was a straight-forward, progressive railroad built to haul coal, ore and oil betwixt its namesake cities, through unparalleled scenic beauty. From its beginning in 1869, to its consolidation into the Baltimore & Ohio in 1932, the BR&P proudly invested everything into its system. With unabashed pride, the company spared no expense building everything to endure, and retained the best employees in the industry. These individuals gave the Railway every thing it needed to succeed, which it did, running the finest freight and passenger trains of the day. Of the many whom once worked under its flag, it is remembered by few. Watch the test of time unfold in the pages of this book as we see how the years and economy changed this once great and prosperous carrier along its former Pittsburgh Division lines in Pennsylvania.
