THE Brotherhood of Railroad Brakewas organized September 23, 1883, at Oneonta, N. Y. It was known by that name until January 1, 1890, when the name was changed to Brotherhood of RailTrainmen, and is now the largest organization of men in railroad service. It also represents a substantial number of employes of bus transportation lines. It is fulfilling, in a substantial way, its mission, which is one of Fraternity, Unity and Progress. Its Insurance Department is surrounded by all necessary safeguards, thus assuring its members the payment of all just claims presented against it; its work is worthy of the earnest attention of every man in the calling. Trainmen should avail themselves of the opportunities it affords.
