Sample Contents: At a meeting of the Associations in New York, April 5, 1923, a program was adopted to Provide Adequate Transportation Service during 1923. In a statement accompanying this program it was pointed out that, despite the cumulative effects of the coal miners' strike beginning April 1, 1922, and of the shopmen's strike, beginning July 1, 1922, the railroads in the thirty seven weeks between July 1, 1922, and March 17, 1923, had handled the greatest volume of traffic ever transported in the history of the country during any corresponding period of thirty-seven weeks.
